Envirocal provides quality assurance services for a wide range of environmental and technical documents. Most work is conducted via email, ftp, or VPN. If required, on-site services can be arranged for clients located within the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Technical Editing
Recognizing that readability and technical and grammatical consistency are of the utmost importance—particularly with regard to client deliverables and proposals—Envirocal focuses on technical editing as its primary quality assurance service.
Elements of technical editing include:
- Checking and correcting grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Editing for continuity, voice, and clarity of expression; removing or rewriting awkward verbiage
- Ensuring the correct usage of numbers, acronyms, proper nouns, etc.
- Ensuring consistency of references, citations, acronyms, and heading levels
- Resolving document problems such as contradictory text within and between paragraphs and chapters
- Working within the parameters of the company style guide or project/document-specific style sheet
- Organizing and incorporating data
Style Guides / Template Development
Style manuals are customized to each client's individual needs and preferences. These guides typically include chapters on overall company style, grammar and vocabulary, punctuation, usage of numbers, and acronyms and abbreviations; they also contain illustrative document samples.
Document (Microsoft Word) templates are likewise developed to each client’s unique specifications—with styles for text, heading levels, tables, figures, references, appendices, table of contents, cover pages, and many other document components.
Word Processing
Word processing services range from basic text entry to complex formatting/structuring, and include troubleshooting of problematic document formatting and the development of document templates (see Template Development above).
Word processing training is also available.
Resumes & Curricula Vitae (NEW!)
In this competitive job market, a good initial impression is of the utmost importance, and a sparkling résumé can make all the difference. Envirocal is pleased to now offer the development and design of professional résumés and curricula vitae!
Services range from simple reorganization/edits to complete rewrites and design overhaul. For résumés created from scratch, the process starts with a draft of at least two distinct configurations from which the client can choose design features (as well as fonts, colors, and bullet styles) to fashion a customized finished product.
Regardless of a client's industry, background, or level of experience, Envirocal can create a sharp, polished, and aesthetically pleasing résumé or curriculum vitae that WORKS!
Document Production
As an additional service for San Francisco Bay Area clients, Envirocal also offers on-site document production services, which include copying, collating, assembly, and overall production management.
